Regalia: The regalia design is based upon the Colorado Army National Guard crest, shoulder sleeve insignia, distinctive unit insignia and State flag. The snow-capped peaks are emblematic of the State seal and distinctive insignia, and the gold discs echo the gold on the State flag. The red, white and blue piping was suggested by the ribbon on the Army National Guard crest. The crest is used on both sides of the mace head, while the designation COLORADO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD goes completely around the head.
